Lizhuzhongqi Base has been awarded the first batch of "Authentic Quality Medicinal Material Planting Base" in the country.
The 2012 Traditional Chinese Medicine Material Development Forum and the Awarding Ceremony for Quality Bases, along with the Annual Work Meeting of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Material Planting and Breeding Professional Committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, were grandly held in Xiamen on November 29-30, with nearly 200 participants from more than 100 enterprises and institutions across the country. Leaders attending the meeting included Fang Shuting, former Deputy Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and President of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhang Hongkui, former Deputy Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhang Jun, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In order to accelerate the standardization, scale, and branding of traditional Chinese medicine material production, and to promote the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Material Planting and Breeding Professional Committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine has carried out the selection activity for "Authentic Quality Medicinal Material Planting Bases" from August 2008 to August 2011 for three years. The expert group repeatedly verified more than 50 medicinal material bases that applied, and after on-site review, 12 bases met the selection standards.
At this conference, a awarding ceremony was held for the first batch of 12 "Authentic Quality Medicinal Material Planting Bases" in the country. The Astragalus base of Lizhu Group's Datong Lizhu Qiyuan Company was included as one of the first 12 bases. Cai Xinfeng, Deputy Director of the Limin Pharmaceutical Factory and Chairman of Qiyuan Company, represented the company on stage to receive the award. This honor undoubtedly injects new lubricant into the rapid development of the Astragalus base and will certainly promote the rapid development of standardization, branding, and industrialization.
