On August 31, 2020, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Livzon Pharmaceutical") signed a patent transfer and exclusive technology licensing agreement for Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical") regarding its TY-2136b in the Greater China region.

TY-2136b is a new generation of multi-target small-spectrum tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) in the PCC (preclinical candidate compound) stage, independently developed by Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical. Preclinical studies have shown that TY-2136b exhibits excellent efficacy against multiple targets of ROS1/NTRK/ALK, while effectively inhibiting resistant gene mutations, addressing many unmet clinical needs.

Mr. Tang Yanggang, Executive Director and President of Livzon Pharmaceutical, stated"This cooperation with Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical can fully leverage each other's strengths, accelerate the research and development and market launch of new drugs, and further supplement Livzon Pharmaceutical's oncology product pipeline. For a long time, Livzon has been committed to the development of innovative oncology drugs, and cancer patients in China still need more and better therapeutic drugs. Based on the excellent preclinical data of TY-2136b, we believe that this product will definitely benefit cancer patients in China after its market launch in the future."

Dr. Wu Yusheng, Chairman and CEO of Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical, stated"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to cooperate with Livzon Pharmaceutical to accelerate the research and development, clinical development, and commercialization of TY-2136b. Although Tongyuan Kang was established not long ago, it has strong research and development capabilities. This successful cooperation with Livzon Pharmaceutical also demonstrates our team's research and development capabilities."Dr. Li Jun, Chief Scientific Officer of Tongyuan Kang Pharmaceutical, stated"The project standards of Tongyuan Kang are to address unmet clinical needs and to make the same type of drugs Best-in-Class. Preclinical data indicate that TY-2136b shows similar or better inhibitory effects on the main resistant mutations of ROS1/NTRK/ALK. At the same time, TY-2136b has a certain ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier, which has potential advantages for patients with brain metastases.

According to reports, lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide. Approximately 85% of these are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. In 2015, an analysis of the prevalence of malignant tumors in China showed that approximately 787,000 new lung cancer patients are added each year in China. According to the classification by carcinogenic driver genes, ROS1 positive accounts for about 2% of NSCLC patients, of which more than half of the patients will develop resistant mutations such as G2032R and D2033N after receiving existing targeted drug treatment; the number of cancer patients caused by NTRK gene fusion mutations accounts for about 0.5-1% of NSCLC patients, and this gene fusion can also cause various cancers including appendiceal cancer, breast cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and many other solid tumors totaling 17 types. ALK positive accounts for about 5-8% of NSCLC patients, and after treatment with ALK inhibitors, especially second-generation ALK inhibitors, a large number of G1202R resistant mutations will occur.
