Livzon Pharmaceutical's existing biopharmaceutical R&D pipeline includes antibody drugs, protein drugs, and CAR-T cell therapy, while also advancing the construction of ADC technology platforms and new CAR-T technology platforms.
Livzon Pharmaceutical Biopharmaceutical R&D Platform
The existing biopharmaceutical R&D pipeline involves four disease areas: oncology, reproductive health, immune diseases, and COVID-19. Among these, the Phase III clinical trial for the anti-IL-6R monoclonal antibody (LZM008) targeting immune diseases is nearing completion; the PD-1 monoclonal antibody (LZM009) in the oncology field is currently undergoing Phase Ib/II clinical trials for thymic carcinoma; the tumor enzyme-specific interferon α-2b Fc fusion protein and the anti-IL-17A/F monoclonal antibody have both been approved for clinical trials and are preparing to initiate Phase I clinical trials; humanized bispecific autologous CAR-T cells are conducting proof-of-concept (POC) clinical trials; r-hCG (LZM003) is expected to be approved within the year, while r-FSH is undergoing preclinical research.

The microsphere series is a major feature of Livzon, with leuprolide microspheres contributing significantly to the company's performance in 2020. These drugs involve sustained release issues and long-term release stability, with complex production processes and high industrialization difficulties. As a leading company in microsphere development in China, Livzon has laid out a series of products under research, including several high-sales-potential blockbuster varieties.
Livzon Pharmaceutical Long-acting Microsphere Product R&D Pipeline
In the pipeline, the Phase III clinical progress of injectable triptorelin acetate microspheres (1-month sustained release) (LZMT01) is going smoothly, used for clinical research in patients with locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer (single-arm, multi-center); leuprolide microspheres (3-month sustained release) (LZMT04) have completed ethical approval for Phase I trials, with indications for prostate cancer and breast cancer; the triptorelin acetate sustained-release implant (1-month sustained release) (LZMT02) is in the process optimization stage of pharmaceutical research, with indications for prostate cancer; injectable octreotide microspheres (LZMT03) have indications for acromegaly, and its IND application has been accepted; injectable aripiprazole microspheres (1-month sustained release) (LZMT05) are in Phase I clinical research for the treatment of adult schizophrenia.

Livzon Reagents was established in 1989, and the currently marketed diagnostic reagents cover areas such as COVID-19, hepatitis C, pneumonia, and HIV. In March 2020, Livzon's COVID-19 IgM/IgG antibody test kit was approved for marketing in China, and later obtained EU CE certification. The widespread outbreak of the pandemic overseas has increased market demand for COVID-19 testing reagent products, and the company is now applying for import registration in multiple countries.
In addition, Livzon has several platform projects under research in the diagnostic field. Among the 10 projects in the chemiluminescence platform, the T-cell test reagent for tuberculosis virus infection is in the clinical stage; the anti-citrullinated peptide antibody test reagent, anti-double-stranded DNA antibody test reagent, anti-Müllerian hormone test reagent, and mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody test reagent are in the registration stage. The autoimmune hepatitis test reagent in the liquid phase chip multiplex platform is in the clinical stage. The mycoplasma pneumoniae test kit in the fluorescence chromatography platform has completed clinical trials and is entering registration; the chlamydia pneumoniae antibody test kit and influenza A/B virus antigen test kit are currently in clinical trials. There are three projects under research in the molecular nucleic acid platform.
Compared to traditional varieties such as Shenqi Fuzheng Injection, the monoclonal antibody series, microsphere series, cell therapy, diagnostic reagents, and other varieties and businesses in the pipeline have injected new vitality into Livzon. Esomeprazole enteric-coated tablets and leuprolide microspheres have also replaced Shenqi and mouse nerve as the main driving forces for the company's performance growth. Livzon has entered a new stage of development driven by innovation.
