The Health Yuan Research Institute has reached a strategic cooperation with Tencent Quantum Laboratory to jointly promote quantum + AI pharmaceutical research and development.

On February 1, the Health Yuan Research Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tencent Quantum Laboratory. Both parties will jointly promote the application of quantum computing and artificial intelligence in the fields of microbial synthetic biology research and related drug research, advancing the development and progress of pharmaceutical research and development technology.
In recent years, the integration of quantum chemistry calculations and artificial intelligence technology with biomedicine technology has deepened continuously, greatly promoting the progress of basic biological research and the efficiency of drug development. The application of artificial intelligence technology in the biomedicine field covers almost the entire industrial chain, from new drug development, drug production, to clinical trials. Quantum computing has powerful parallel computing and simulation capabilities, able to solve important scientific problems that existing algorithms find difficult to address, providing a deeper understanding of biological processes based on quantum physics. The integration of biomedicine research with quantum computing + artificial intelligence technology will help drug developers more accurately predict and understand the various physical and chemical properties of compound molecules, as well as the key biological behaviors of compound molecules in the human body and cells.
Health Yuan Research InstituteThe Henan Health Yuan Biomedical Research Institute is jointly established by Health Yuan Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. and Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc., dedicated to employing advanced synthetic biology methods, through microbial genome mining, utilizing natural or artificial biological components to design, modify, and synthesize the genetic material of microorganisms and other living organisms from scratch (de novo synthesis), combined with fermentation metabolic engineering and protein-directed evolution methods to construct efficient cell factories.

The computational chemistry software and platform developed by Tencent Quantum Laboratory on Tencent Cloud has developed new quantum combination algorithms and quantum AI algorithms, establishing an ecosystem in related fields such as chemistry and pharmaceuticals, and materials.
In this strategic cooperation, the Health Yuan Research Institute and Tencent Quantum Laboratory will leverage each other's complementary advantages to jointly establish a quantum AI computing-enabled microbial synthetic biology research and related drug development system, better serving the development and upgrading of China's pharmaceutical and health industry.
