On the afternoon of May 27, the 2021 Innovation Zhuhai Science and Technology Award and the Science and Technology Innovation Excellence Award Ceremony was held in the press release hall of Zhuhai TV Station. The research and industrialization project of the innovative drug injectable Esomeprazole Sodium by Livzon Pharmaceutical Group stood out among many projects and won the first prize for scientific and technological progress. Hou Xuemei, the deputy director of the Livzon Research Institute, chief scientist of the institute, and project leader of injectable Esomeprazole Sodium, represented the company to receive the award.
The Innovation Zhuhai Science and Technology Award is a scientific and technological award initiated by the Zhuhai Science and Technology Development Promotion Association under the guidance of the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation. It aims to fully leverage the positive role of scientific and technological awards in encouraging independent innovation and creating a good atmosphere for scientific and technological innovation, and is regarded as the inheritance of Zhuhai's "heavy rewards for science and technology."

Injectable Esomeprazole Sodium is a Class 2 innovative drug developed by Livzon Pharmaceutical Group over ten years, filling clinical treatment gaps. It is administered once a day, completely rewriting the treatment plan of similar products that require administration twice a day. It received priority review from the National Medical Products Administration (CDE) and was exclusively launched globally in 2018, indicated for bleeding peptic ulcers. It has 6 authorized core invention patents, 1 PCT application, has led the completion of 2 national quality standards, and has undertaken major national projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan, winning the "13th Five-Year Plan China Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Landmark Achievement" award.
According to the "Management Measures for the Innovation Zhuhai Science and Technology Award," the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation will prioritize projects that have won the first prize or above in Zhuhai's scientific and technological progress for nomination recommendations to the provincial science and technology awards and include them in the cultivation database for provincial and national science and technology awards.
At the award ceremony, Wang Yanqing, the executive deputy general manager of Livzon Microsphere Technology Co., Ltd., was awarded the 2021 Zhuhai City Science and Technology Innovation Person of the Year for her achievements in hosting and participating in more than 10 research projects of Livzon Group, among which 5 received market approval, 11 projects received clinical approval, and 4 products have been launched.
