The "ESG Empowers Good Companies in China" series visits Lijuzhu Group.

On November 22, guided by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the "ESG Empowering Good Companies in China" series of visits organized by Sina Finance and Dongfang Securities arrived at Livzon Pharmaceutical Group. Yue Caiyong, General Manager of the Government Business Department of Sina Finance and Deputy Secretary-General of the China ESG Leaders Organization Council, Li Wen, Director of the Sustainable Development Research Institute of the Social Value Investment Alliance, Xue Jun, Chief Strategy Analyst and ESG Head of Dongfang Securities, and Li Tao, Director of the ESG Rating Center of Sina Finance.Along with corporate representatives, they had an in-depth exchange on Livzon's development and achievements in the ESG field. In recent years, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group has continuously made breakthroughs in the ESG field: since 2012, it has disclosed social responsibility-related content in its annual reports and released its first ESG report in 2016. In 2017, the company initially established an ESG management structure, setting up an ESG working leadership group composed of the company president and heads of various functions. In 2018, the company was included in the MSCI rating for the first time, rated as B. In 2019, the company was included in the Hang Seng A-share Sustainable Development Corporate Benchmark Index for the first time. In 2020, following the latest board guidelines from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Livzon established an ESG committee under the board, responsible to the board, with an ESG working executive group as its executing body, making the board the highest decision-making body for Livzon Group's ESG management.

Regarding the honors received by the company during the ESG evaluation, Yang Liang, Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Livzon Pharmaceutical Group, said: "In recent years, the company has placed great importance on ESG-related work from top to bottom. On one hand, leveraging ESG evaluation systems like MSCI and S&P allows us to understand the ESG practices of outstanding companies in both international and domestic markets, conduct gap analysis, and address the company's management shortcomings, thereby improving internal governance levels; on the other hand, improving ratings can help the company enhance internal system construction and reduce operational risks. At the same time, each improvement in ratings continuously enhances the company's brand image, gaining support from stakeholders, thus increasing investors' trust in Livzon's brand."

To date, the external recognition and honors received by Livzon's ESG work include: in July 2023, the MSCI ESG rating was rated AAA, making it the first company in China's pharmaceutical industry to receive an AAA rating; in 2022, the S&P score was 42, exceeding 90% of participating peers; in November this year, the company also received the honor of being in the TOP 20 of ESG competitiveness among Chinese pharmaceutical listed companies in 2023.
