For ten years, the people of Lizhu have proven through action that while it is difficult to persist in doing good deeds, what is even more challenging is to do so with heart and emotion. Fulfilling corporate social responsibility, Lizhu has always taken the initiative.
Guan'er Township is located deep in the southwestern mountains of Hunyuan County, Shanxi, with poor transportation, making poverty synonymous with this place. However, it is rich in authentic medicinal materials, particularly Astragalus. To ensure the quality of the group's traditional Chinese medicine large-volume injections, the group established an Astragalus GAP base in Hunyuan County in September 2005, planting nearly 10,000 acres of Astragalus, and founded Datong Lizhu Qiyuan Medicinal Materials Co., Ltd. This investment has significantly boosted the economic development of Guan'er Township.
When the Astragalus base was being established in 2004, the poverty situation at Guan'er Middle School left the colleagues in the base establishment team feeling disheartened: desks missing legs, mud brick benches, drafty mud walls, classrooms where it rained heavily outside and lightly inside, children with frostbite wearing thin clothes... Helping Guan'er Middle School in the name of the company and assisting the children of Guan'er Middle School became a consensus among the colleagues in the base establishment team.
After the base establishment team returned to the Zhuhai headquarters, they first reported the situation of Guan'er Middle School to the group leaders and requested to initiate a fundraising campaign within the group. This kind act received strong support from the leaders and enthusiastic responses from many colleagues in the group. Speaking of the fundraising, even though ten years have passed, Kong Xiangsheng, one of the initiators of this charitable act, still remembers it vividly. He recounted the amounts donated by everyone at that time: General Tao donated 10,000 yuan, Director Zhao Qing donated 1,500 yuan, Wang Meifu, then Director of the Sales Management Department, donated 1,000 yuan, and other colleagues donated nearly 20,000 yuan. The raised funds were divided into two parts: one part was used for the renovation of teaching facilities at Guan'er Middle School, buying desks and painting classroom walls, while the other part was directly given to the children to purchase warm clothing and learning supplies. From then on, the children remembered Lizhu and the kind-hearted people outside the mountains.
After the first successful fundraising, General Tao further requested: Lizhu should provide a platform, continuously absorb social resources, and actively support the children in the impoverished mountainous areas of Hunyuan to complete their studies. Under the advocacy of the people of Lizhu, a large number of caring individuals from society, including those from Hong Kong and Macau, actively raised funds for Guan'er Middle School, collecting tuition fees for the children of Guan'er Township. The people of Lizhu have repeatedly led caring individuals into Guan'er Middle School to tell the children in the mountains stories from outside the mountains, and heartfelt love surged in the campus.
In the past three years, Lizhu has continuously increased its donations to Guan'er Middle School.In 2011, donated book fees for 25 local middle school students, and cash of 10,000 yuan for purchasing warm winter clothing; in 2012, donated full tuition for 13 students who chose to stay local and continue to high school, and added 70 cabinets for students.个, to provide students with storage for daily necessities;In 2014,"Lizhu and you walk for love"Public welfare activities once again entered Guan'er Middle School, bringing learning and sports supplies to the children.Learning and sports supplies, and sent condolence money tostudents from poor families.的同学送去慰问金。
