This afternoon, Wu Qingchuan, the newly appointed member of the Standing Committee of the Zhuhai Municipal Committee and Minister of Organization, visited the Lizhu Industrial Park for inspection and research, accompanied by Yang Huabing, Secretary of the Jinwan District Committee, and Zhou Disong, member of the Jinwan District Committee and Minister of Organization. In the exhibition hall of the Lizhu Industrial Park, Zhou Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee and Vice President, introduced to Minister Wu the development history of Lizhu alongside the growth of the Special Economic Zone. Zhou said that Lizhu Group is a local pharmaceutical enterprise rooted in Zhuhai, starting with gastrointestinal medication—Lizhu Dele, and has forged a well-regarded pharmaceutical Brand over the years. After more than thirty years of development, Lizhu has driven its growth through research and development innovation, forming an operational pattern with active pharmaceutical ingredients, chemical drugs, traditional Chinese medicine, and diagnostic reagents as its main businesses. In recent years, it has gradually transformed and upgraded, pioneering its own biopharmaceutical field and constructing a precision medical industry chain, planning and laying out for future expansion and strengthening. The group currently has more than 60 doctors, over 400 masters, with 80% of the staff holding college degrees or above, and more than 500 personnel are specifically engaged in research and development, investing a large amount of R&D funds each year, accounting for more than 6% of main operating income.

While listening to the introduction, Minister Wu excitedly communicated with Zhou about the significant news of Lizhu's R&D personnel continuously winning major awards in Zhuhai's science and technology, which still lingers in his ears. Today's Lizhu people inherit the tradition of the older generation of R&D personnel, continuing to delve deeply and conduct independent research and development. In recent years, Lizhu Group has won numerous national and provincial science and technology awards in R&D, bringing many honors to Zhuhai.

When discussing Lizhu's party building, Zhou also provided a detailed report to Minister Wu. In recent years, Lizhu Group has placed great importance on the construction of party organizations, currently having 603 Communist Party members, of which 371 are in the Zhuhai headquarters area, and 232 are in enterprises outside Zhuhai. There are 9 party branches directly under the Zhuhai Party Committee and 7 party organizations in enterprises outside the city. Yang Daihong, Vice President in charge of production technology, serves as the Party Secretary, Zhou Peng, Vice President in charge of administrative operations, serves as the Deputy Party Secretary, and Si Yanxia, Vice President in charge of finance and IT, serves as the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, with several general managers serving as members of the Party Committee. The Lizhu Party organization has formed a good momentum centered around the company's senior executives, with party members striving for excellence around the party organization, promoting development through party building. The Lizhu Group Party Committee was rated as an advanced grassroots party organization in Guangdong Province in 2017; in the technology innovation competition led by the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, the Lizhu Group Party Committee formed a team to participate and won the first prize in the technology innovation group; in June 2018, it was awarded the honor of "Strong Party Building, Strong Development" dual strong enterprise in Zhuhai.
Minister Wu stated that Lizhu Group not only operates and develops well, but also has solid party building work.
