Affected by Typhoon "Wipha", Shouguang, Shandong experienced continuous heavy rainfall from August 18 to 19, causing a dramatic increase in reservoir inflow. If flood discharge is not carried out, there is a risk of dam failure. Due to the simultaneous massive discharge from three reservoirs, the vegetable planting industry in Shouguang suffered heavy losses. More than 500,000 people were affected, and nearly 10,000 houses collapsed.
After learning about the disaster, the management of Livzon Group actively contacted the Zhuhai Red Cross.,Expressing the desire to help the disaster-stricken compatriots in disaster relief and self-rescue.
On August 27,in the afternoon,according to the instructions of Livzon Group President Tao Desheng,a donation ceremony for over 500,000 yuan worth of medicines to the Shouguang disaster area was held at the elevated warehouse of Livzon Industrial Park. Livzon Group's Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President Zhou Peng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice President of the Zhuhai Red Cross Xiao Shiming, Party Leadership Group member and Secretary General Chen Yong, and Minister of the Relief and Rescue Department of the Zhuhai Red CrossMinisterChen Hairong witnessed the departure of the donated medicines.
After witnessing the departure ceremony of the donated medicines, Zhou Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Livzon Group, stated that Livzon has been serious about making medicine for over thirty years, tirelessly contributing to the development of human health, and actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility. In the face of disasters such as SARS, the Wenchuan earthquake, the Zhouqu mudslide, and the drought in Guizhou, Livzon has always been closely connected with the people in the disaster areas.
