Congratulations to Dr. Cao Hui on being elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On July 29, 2021, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) sent a congratulatory letter to Dr. Cao Hui, a Chinese scientist, congratulating him on being elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and issued the certificate of election and the certificate of academician's work.
Dr. Cao Hui is currently the director of the National Modernization Engineering Technology Research Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine of the Lijuzhou Group, a professor at Jinan University, a guiding teacher for the inheritance of academic experience of national old Chinese medicine experts, and concurrently serves as the vice chairman of the Medicinal Materials and Decoction Pieces Committee of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, the vice chairman of the Processing Branch of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a member of ISO/TC 249/(GW2 member), the vice president of the Quality Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and an executive director of the Medical History and Culture Branch of the Chinese Ethnic Medicine Society. He has been engaged in research on the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine engineering technology, the standardization and quality evaluation of decoction pieces, and traditional Chinese medicine culture.
The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is the largest social academy in Russia, composed of outstanding scientists who have made significant achievements in the fields of natural sciences and humanities, and has important academic influence. Currently, the academy has established 24 departments, including 18 Nobel Prize winners, over 270 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and more than 30 academicians of the Russian National Medical Academy. Accomplished scientists and scholars in the humanities and social sciences from 48 countries around the world have been elected as foreign academicians of the academy. Currently, several academicians from China and Changjiang Scholars have been elected as foreign academicians of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences holds an academician election every two years, and the only criterion for selection is the academic achievements and influence of the candidates. Through a strict process of recommendations from academicians and formal reviews, Dr. Cao Hui was elected as a foreign academician of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
