On February 17, Zhao Junning, Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, along with a delegation, visited the Lijun Group accompanied by Jiang Xiaodong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration, Fang Wei, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration, Lin Rituan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhuhai Municipal Government, and Shi Xuebin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Zhuhai Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Tang Yanggang, Executive Director and President of Lijun Group, warmly welcomed Zhao Junning and his delegation at the group exhibition hall.
 
At the group exhibition hall, President Tang Yanggang introduced the company's development history, main business, flagship products, and achievements in research and development innovation to Zhao Junning and his delegation. In recent years, Lijun Group has continuously made breakthroughs in the fields of chemical drugs, traditional Chinese medicine, biological drugs, raw materials/intermediates, and in vitro diagnostic reagents. The products are distributed across the fields of digestion, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health, reproductive endocrinology, and mental/neuro health, while continuing to focus on innovative drugs and high-barrier complex formulations. They have launched significant products such as Leuprolide and Esomeprazole, achieving substantial growth in the digestion and reproductive sectors. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lijun Group collaborated with the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, forming a research and development team of over 200 people with Health元 Group, with Group Chairman Zhu Baoguo serving as the overall commander. They developed a recombinant COVID-19 virus fusion protein vaccine in 2 years and 39 days, which was approved for national sequential booster immunization emergency use. Currently, the first and second booster vaccinations are being administered. Additionally, Lijun Group has also developed COVID-19 antibody test reagents and COVID-19 antigen test reagents in a short period, contributing to the fight against the pandemic.
 
Zhao Junning and his delegation enthusiastically visited the Lijun Group's Traditional Chinese Medicine Specimen Museum, learning about the efforts made by Lijun Group in controlling the quality of traditional Chinese medicinal materials. In the subsequent discussion, Cai Xinfeng, Assistant to the Group President and General Manager of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Division, reported to Zhao Junning and his delegation on the company's development in the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. Lijun Group owns two production enterprises, Shaoguan Limin and Sichuan Guangda, and has its own GAP planting bases in places like Hunyuan, Shanxi, and Longxi, Gansu. The products such as Shenqi Fuzheng Injection and antiviral granules are exclusive varieties of Lijun, and several projects are currently in the research and development stage. In 2021, the company acquired 40% of Tianjin Tongrentang's shares, and in 2022, it established a subsidiary in the Zhuhai Hengqin Free Trade Zone dedicated to the research and development of traditional Chinese medicine as its main business, continuing to expand its advantages in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.
 
After listening to the report, Zhao Junning highly praised Lijun Group's achievements in research and development innovation and fully affirmed Lijun Group's continuous exploration in the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. He hoped that Lijun Group would leverage the development advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, especially the historical opportunity of the construction of the Hengqin Free Trade Zone, to continue to strengthen research and development innovation and play a leading role in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and health, promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine to a new level.
